Even before my 8th grade year I knew I wanted to go to Foothill. My older brother went to El Camino and the school did not help to go to college. On the other hand my older sister went to Foothill and she was doing amazing. So I wanted to follow in her footsteps and be successful at Foothill like her. My friends who didn't want to go to Foothill said, "The school is lame and that I should not go", but I knew they said that because an older sibling did not get in.
I knew that Foothill would be the best for me. I can’t say my decision was hard. The decision kinda went with the flow of things. Sense my brother already was going to Foothill, I could get in, and then my mom said that if you wanted to go to another high school you could leave after a semester. But I knew I was going to stay for all four years. I did not really do anything, but sign my signature on the line that my mom told me. I did not have to study about Foothill because my brother and sister went, so for 4 years I heard everything about Foothill from them. Also I went to Foothill to see stuff for my sister. I even knew the teacher's name, which is kinda creepy. And some of my other friends told me about the school, but only my friends that went had something good to say. I believe that this is my school and my decision was the most correct it could get, and Foothill can’t get rid of my family yet.
The beginning of the school year I was excited to leave middle school and move on. Foothill was strange but super fun. Plus I got to meet new people and make new friends. It was easy to find every classroom and remember where they are. Most of the teachers I had were pretty great. After a bit I had many friends to hangout with. So far I would say Foothill is my school. I have at least two teachers that love me to death and their class are super fun. Classes are easy to understand. People were also saying you go to Foothill, smart person around. I can see me telling people proudly that I went to Foothill for high school.
I love all of the teachers here they are nice and really chill. You never have to be scared to talk to someone because everybody is nice and if you do become friends then you will have the time of your life with them. People don’t judge you even if you are wearing the most craziest outfit ever. The homework so far is mostly easy and you don't have to spend that long on it. When to homework at my middle school took me awhile. Plus you learn by the homework more than I learned in middle school. Freshmen Orientation was super fun and wild. My fire class we did some kinda lame things, but then some fun things. I always love meeting new people so it was fun to meet the people in my fire class and put a face to the name of the teachers. Also the school was small which I learned is the best for me.
In this half of the quarter I can’t believe I’m in high school that fits me so well. My friends I would never change for anybody else. I also found a person just like me that I could have another twin. Its also nice to see people outside of school and wanting to say hi. Classes are exciting. Teachers are happy to help. Even fire is fun just to talk to people, and the cookies people bring are amazing. The homework is easy to do at home or at school. Also people always tell me I’m smart because I go to Foothill. Sometimes I’m tired to go to school, but overall I make it to school ready for the next journey of the day.
